Mitsuboshi Belting held a donation presentation ceremony for Japan Committee for UNICEF and the 37th Music Salon at Suntory Hall Blue Rose in Minato-ku, Tokyo. A representative of the company handed the donation to the committee, which presented a certificate of appreciation.
Executive Managing Director Hayamizu (早水) spoke about the situation facing children around the world, the increase in conflicts, the absence of international rules and cuts to funding for humanitarian assistance, and said that Mitsuboshi Belting's donation was valuable. Mitsuboshi Belting has continued making donations since fiscal 2005, based on the company's founding principles.
The Music Salon featured performances by artists who graduated from Toho Gakuen. The first part included performances of Handel, Water Music and other works, while the second part featured piano four-hand performances of classical pieces. Despite the rain, approximately 350 people filled the venue.
The event was held to provide talented young musicians with opportunities to perform and enable the general public to enjoy live music.
