Nikon lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, while revenue in its precision equipment business increased against a backdrop of a strong semiconductor market, leading to expectations for higher operating profit and net profit.
Nikon lowered its consolidated revenue forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from the previous ¥732.0 billion to ¥722.0 billion. The reason was a review of the second-half sales plan for its imaging business, including cameras.
Meanwhile, revenue in the precision equipment business, including semiconductor production equipment, is expected to increase on the back of a strong semiconductor market. Operating profit is expected to rise from the previous forecast of ¥11.0 billion to ¥16.5 billion, while net profit is expected to increase from ¥10.0 billion to ¥16.0 billion.
