Graphite Design substantially raised its earnings forecasts for the fiscal year ending February 2027. Against a backdrop of strong sales of its own-brand shafts in the U.S. market, sales and profits are expected to increase significantly.
Graphite Design shares hit the daily price limit on the 2nd and closed at ¥777, up ¥100 from the previous day. The substantial revision to the full-year earnings forecasts was cited as a factor behind the increase in buying.
According to the company's disclosed forecasts for the cumulative second quarter of the fiscal year ending February 2027, revenue was raised from the previous forecast of ¥1.42 billion to ¥1.88 billion, an increase of 43.0% year on year. Operating profit rose sharply from ¥110 million to ¥380 million, 10 times the year-earlier level, ordinary profit from ¥110 million to ¥420 million, 13 times the year-earlier level, and net profit from ¥65 million to ¥290 million, 17 times the year-earlier level.
The full-year operating profit forecast was raised from the previous forecast of ¥310 million to ¥530 million, reaching 3.4 times the previous fiscal year's actual result.
The upward revision was driven by strong sales in the U.S. market of the new model of the company's own-brand Tour AD shaft. Increased orders from foreign-affiliated club manufacturers and the weaker yen also contributed to improvements in revenue and profit margins.
