Sharp Corporation’s expanded Experience Center has opened in Downers Grove, Illinois, with its floor area increased by 89%. Visitors can experience the full product range, from displays to dvLED, in one location, alongside solutions such as AI and NaviSet.
Sharp Corporation has opened its expanded Experience Center in Downers Grove. The facility has expanded from 2,690 to 5,096 square feet and displays all B2B categories, including displays, projectors, printers and Dynabook. The layout provides an overview of the company’s broad lineup, including consumer products such as the refrigerator in the café and the microwave oven upstairs.
The center is positioned as an expanded display-focused facility. Together with the exhibits at the Montvale location, its displays focus on digital signage, retail, transportation, AI and NaviSet software. Desktop and large-format displays, projection and interactive boards are also integrated, enabling comparisons based on intended use at the time of installation.
The dvLED demonstration was a particular highlight. Five dvLED panels were arranged side by side to show the same content, allowing visitors to experience differences in pixel pitch as they moved closer to and farther from the displays. This enables concrete discussions on-site about proposals suited to content design and viewing distance.
Another highlight was a long-life display. The center showcased the MultiSync LCD4000, which operated at Vienna Airport for approximately 20 years and accumulated more than 175,000 hours of continuous operation. It is presented as an example of the durability of the company’s products for customers who prioritize reliability over long-term use.
The venue also includes a laboratory providing dvLED certification training and troubleshooting support for digital cinema, expanding the practical resources available to installation and maintenance personnel. Overall, the center is designed to help visitors deepen their understanding of Sharp’s full lineup by comparing products directly and viewing demonstrations linked to specific applications.
