日伝 raised its current-year ordinary profit forecast by 2%, increasing the full-year forecast to ¥9.2 billion. Cumulative ordinary profit through the second quarter expanded to ¥4.76 billion, further adding to the record profit forecast.
日伝 disclosed its earnings summary and announced consolidated ordinary profit of ¥4.76 billion for the cumulative second quarter (April-September) of the fiscal year ending April 2024, up 46.6% year on year. Results through the second quarter were strong, and net sales and the operating profit margin also improved. At the same time, it raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from the previous ¥9.0 billion to ¥9.2 billion. This represents an increase from ¥7.46 billion a year earlier, with the growth rate expected to expand from 20.6% to 23.2%. Based on recent results and plans, ordinary profit for the October-March period is forecast at ¥4.43 billion.
As for results in the latest three months, ordinary profit for the July-September quarter was ¥2.5 billion, up 44.0% year on year, while the operating profit margin on net sales improved from 4.5% to 5.7%.
