エスユーエス has developed the fourth installment of the “VR Gas Leak Hunter” gas leak response VR simulator for ENEOS Globe Corporation. The new “Near-Miss Edition” recreates work sites including filling stations, cylinder storage areas and bathrooms.
The series is designed to enhance hazard prediction capabilities in the field and includes 14 scenarios based on actual incidents. The addition of scenarios for general consumers will expand its application beyond training for businesses to include education at home.
A key feature is that the simulator can operate solely with a VR headset, without requiring a PC or Wi-Fi, making it easy to deploy at venues for safety education such as trade shows and community disaster-prevention events.
The company plans to expand this “action-based” learning beyond the LP gas industry to industrial sectors where safety education and the transfer of skills remain challenges. This initiative is intended to foster practical decision-making skills in safety education.
