Taiyo Yuden upwardly revised its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Under the new forecast, operating profit is expected to reach ¥45.0 billion, approximately 2.2 times the previous fiscal year.
Factors behind the upward revision include increased demand for information infrastructure and industrial equipment, the impact of product selling prices, and the positive effect of the weaker yen on foreign exchange. These factors reportedly led to the increase in the operating profit forecast.
The company also released its first-quarter results, reporting operating profit of ¥4.818 billion. Operating profit was reportedly up approximately 53.3% year on year.
