HIOKI E.E. began operating a 200kW solar power generation system at its Ueda No. 2 Factory in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, and began covering approximately 30% of its average electricity consumption through on-site consumption. The system comprises 415 panels installed across approximately 920 m² of rooftop space, with a PCS capacity of 150kW.
HIOKI E.E. installed a solar power generation system at its Ueda No. 2 Factory in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, and began operating it on 17 June 2026.
The system comprises 415 solar panels installed across approximately 920 m² of rooftop space. It has a generation capacity of 200kW and a PCS capacity of 150kW, and is used for on-site consumption within the factory.
Based on average results for approximately 2 months after operations began, solar power covered approximately 30% of the factory's electricity consumption. In periods of low load, there were also cases in which nearly 100% of daytime electricity consumption was supplied by solar-generated power.
The company has stated that it plans to expand its use of renewable energy with the aim of achieving Scope 3 carbon neutrality by 2035.
