Hitachi Construction Machinery will open its Hitachinaka Rinko Factory to the public for an exhibition of construction machinery, ride-on experiences and other events. The event will be held on 25 October 2026, and advance registration is required.
Hitachi Construction Machinery will hold the Hitachi Construction Machinery Festival in Hitachinaka at its Hitachinaka Rinko Factory on 25 October (Sunday). The factory will be opened to the public for the first time in 8 years as an expression of gratitude to the local community, making this the 4th event.
Machinery on display will include the ZX1800 multi-boom demolition machine, capable of high-elevation work up to 48.5 m, the ZX500LCK-6 and the 50-ton-class ZX490 hydraulic excavator. Visitors will also be able to ride the ZX490, play a game using a mini excavator, ride an aerial work platform and watch an Astaco operating demonstration, allowing them to see, touch and experience the machinery.
A wide range of other activities is planned, including a character show, a stage performance by an impersonation entertainer and a grand prize draw. The event runs from 10:15 to 15:00, at the factory at the Nagasuna address. Admission is free, but advance registration is required. Temporary parking and free shuttle bus services are also planned.
Photographs and videos are expected to be taken at the event, and visitors may appear in social media posts by Hitachi Construction Machinery or in video and articles published by news organizations.
