MetricWorks Japan has changed its corporate name to POLARIS Co., Ltd. after becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of UNICORN, and has also renamed its service POLARIS Signal. The company has disclosed the dates of the corporate name change and share acquisition, along with an overview of the new structure.
MetricWorks Japan Co., Ltd. changed its corporate name to POLARIS Co., Ltd. effective 25 August 2026 and announced the change on the same date. The share acquisition date on which UNICORN Co., Ltd. will acquire all shares held by U.S.-based MetricWorks Inc. is set as 1 September 2026. As a result, the joint venture relationship between the two companies and the capital relationship with U.S.-based MetricWorks Inc. will end, and operations under the new structure will begin.
The service name will also change from “MetricWorks” to “POLARIS Signal” in line with the new corporate name. The company states that the changes to the corporate and service names will not involve changes to the service offering, pricing structure or contractual arrangements.
POLARIS Signal is an advertising measurement service focused on mobile apps. It aims to provide visibility based on unified metrics across online and offline channels by combining three approaches: refining raw data, marketing mix modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing. The company identifies declining measurement accuracy due to privacy regulations and insufficient integrated evaluation from awareness through acquisition as current challenges, and positions addressing these issues as part of the value it provides.
