SCSK announced that, in collaboration with ServiceNow Japan, it will begin offering the Procurement Offering Service for manufacturers on 28 September 2026. The service will support enterprise-wide procurement optimization through the digitalization of procurement operations and the centralization of intercompany transactions.
This press release announces the Procurement Offering Service for manufacturers, provided through the collaboration between SCSK and ServiceNow Japan. The service integrates ServiceNow with the Smakura procurement platform, aiming to enhance procurement operations across the company by integrating everything from procurement operations and supplier collaboration to intercompany transactions. The companies said they will continue expanding its functionality and move toward offering it as a standard service.
The background to the service is the current need for manufacturing companies’ procurement and purchasing divisions to address not only costs, but also stable supply, compliance and supply chain resilience. Company-wide procurement controls and strategic supplier management are identified as key priorities. The new service is intended to help address these challenges and support the development of an enterprise-wide procurement platform, according to the announcement.
The service centralizes procurement information, supplier information and intercompany transactions, providing visualization, evaluation and digitalization. Its features also include the use of EDI/Web-EDI, the digitalization of transactions such as quotations, purchase orders, deliveries and payment information, and the provision of on-site functions through extended assets. Further functionality is planned. Integration with risk management is also envisioned as a satellite function.
Going forward, SCSK will continue enhancing the service through co-creation with ServiceNow Japan. It also plans to exhibit and introduce the service at ServiceNow World Forum Tokyo 2026, to be held on 27 and 28 October 2026.
