Edion and Tiger Corporation, exhibiting at the Living DX Pavilion at CEATEC 2026, presented a collaborative initiative aimed at promoting the adoption of IoT home appliances. Edion demonstrated new experiences through a multi-vendor platform centered on its Smart App, while Tiger presented a new IoT rice cooker and related initiatives.
Edion identified three pillars of its exhibit: delivering the benefits of the IoT era and advancing full-service retail, creating new value to continuously support customers' enriched lifestyles, and putting customer-first principles into practice through partnerships. The Edion Smart App can centrally manage appliances from multiple manufacturers, and the company indicated that it would advance data utilization and practical implementation in society.
The companies presented measures centered on strengthening support for multiple manufacturers and expanding monitoring functions. Together with Edion's monitoring service, the system will record the usage status of the JPA-S100 in the “Monitoring Results Notification Email.”
Meanwhile, Tiger Corporation, exhibiting at CEATEC for the first time, previewed its new JPA-S100 ahead of its scheduled 21 October launch. The company has enhanced the monitoring functions of its pressure-induction-heating rice cooker, and the JPA-S100 is scheduled to support the Edion Smart App.
The Parent-Care Monitoring Package was also announced at CEATEC 2026. The package is planned to combine an IoT rice cooker with Edion's mobile connectivity service and in-home setup support, with sales scheduled to begin at approximately 50 Edion stores.
