Takezaki Ryo (竹崎 涼), who addresses researchers’ challenges in DENSO CORPORATION’s Advanced Skills Development Department, is pursuing the essence of manufacturing through the development of measuring instruments and automation equipment to improve productivity, drawing on his experience winning a gold medal at the 2016 National Skills Competition.
Takezaki Ryo (竹崎 涼) of the Advanced Skills Development Department serves as a “problem solver,” supporting research and development departments through his technical skills and turning solutions to researchers’ concerns into tangible form. He places importance on “why” thinking, digging deeply into the background, purpose and causes of requests while developing performance evaluation equipment for new materials, combining existing instruments and producing new measuring instruments in fields where measurement standards have not been established.
The ways of thinking developed through Skills Competition training continue to benefit his current work, and his willingness to take on uncharted fields is emphasized. The tension and pressure experienced at the Skills Competition established a habit of anticipating and addressing potential problems in advance, supporting manufacturing that prioritizes quality and safety.
After graduating from the DENSO Technical Academy and winning a gold medal at the Skills Competition, he gained experience at an international competition and took on the challenge again as a coach. He is now also interested in design and verification incorporating AI and automation. He actively participates in voluntary in-house club activities, including micromouse and the Yume-Tamago Mini 4WD competition, and values creating value through curiosity about unknown fields and connections among employees.
