アップガレージグループ has introduced a PayPay Money Light payout function at all directly operated stores as a way to receive proceeds from in-store purchases. By simply scanning the QR code provided after the appraisal, customers can receive the purchase proceeds as PayPay Money Light on the spot.
アップガレージグループ, which operates a reuse business for car and motorcycle parts and accessories, has introduced a function at all directly operated stores that changes the method of receiving purchase proceeds from the traditional options of cash and other payment methods to PayPay Money Light. The initiative is intended to promote cashless payments and improve convenience for light users.
Under the procedure, customers use their smartphones to scan the QR code displayed after the appraisal has been completed, and PayPay Money Light is credited on site. Although many customers still prefer cash, it has been reported that more than half of customers selected PayPay Money Light at fully cashless stores during the test introduction.
At regular stores as well, demand for receiving PayPay Money Light is rising, particularly among customers purchasing low-priced parts and those who prefer smart payment options, and usage is expected to expand.
The initiative is part of アップガレージグループ’s move toward cashless stores and has been presented as an example of efforts to promote the adoption of cashless payments.
