The company says the new colors are intended to enable color coordination suited to the look and feel of each display.
The protective insert is designed to protect and arrange fruit by placing it in a container lined with the insert, without using fruit caps that must be attached to each individual piece of fruit. According to the validation results, the process takes less time than the previous method and can be completed in approximately 21.5 seconds per set.
The company says the expanded color lineup was decided on in response to requests received after the product was launched, including requests for more colors suited to store displays. Including the existing white and pink, the lineup now comprises 5 colors. The product is presented as a solution intended to reduce the workload involved in produce displays while also enhancing their visual presentation.
