The event will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the theatrical release of the film Tsumugu Mono (Weaving Connections), with the aim of bringing the film to more generations and creating an opportunity to think about caregiving, in an event shaped by empathy with the feelings of those involved in the production. It will take place at Eurospace in Shibuya, Tokyo, on 11 November 2026 (Wednesday), featuring a screening of the film followed by a talk session with members of the cast and production team.
The speakers will be lead actor Saburo Ishikura (石倉 三郎) and director Kazutoshi Inudo (犬童 一利), who will hold a talk session after the screening. Rather than portraying caregiving simply as assistance with everyday activities, the film explores how to support people receiving care so that they can live in their own way. Through the interaction between the two speakers, it also addresses the importance of understanding and respecting different values.
The screening will look back on the 10 years since the film's release and will also cover behind-the-scenes stories from filming and current issues in caregiving. Planning and operations for the event will be handled by 株式会社アナログPR. Tickets are ¥2,000 and will be sold at the theater box office and online.
