TWOSTONE Sync formed a business partnership with Layer8 and launched penetration testing for web applications and APIs, with testing conducted by AI and human experts. The company has established a system for monthly testing, providing end-to-end support from development and implementation through attacker-perspective testing and remediation.
TWOSTONE Sync, a new group company of TWOSTONE&Sons, formed a business partnership with Layer8, a developer of AI-powered web security technology, and announced its entry into the cybersecurity sector as the first service in this area. The service provides penetration testing for web applications and APIs. Its distinguishing feature is testing by both AI and human experts: AI agents explore potential intrusion routes from an attacker’s perspective, and security engineers reproduce and verify the findings.
Layer8 is a startup developing AI security technology. It has previously been selected for the MITOU Advanced Project and has ranked No. 1 globally in HackerOne’s VDP category. Layer8’s Trident platform conducts continuous testing through collaboration between AI and human experts, with the results reported together with evidence of the vulnerabilities. Through this partnership, the companies will provide testing by AI and human experts together with TWOSTONE Sync’s AX support.
As part of the new service offering, the companies will establish a system that provides consistent monthly support for vulnerability discovery, testing and remediation, addressing the current situation in which testing often remains limited to approximately once a year. They aim to continuously update defenses in line with advances in AI and changes to systems, and will also provide resources for remediation after vulnerabilities are discovered. The two companies will also strengthen practical support using their engineer network so that companies can confidently advance their use of AI.
