Hanamaru Udon will begin selling 2 new dipping-broth udon dishes made with rich dipping broths at its restaurants nationwide for a limited time from 10 September. The 2 offerings are a new shrimp-based creation and a classic seafood and pork-bone combination.
Sanuki udon chain Hanamaru Udon will begin selling Rich Shrimp Dipping-Broth Udon and Rich Seafood and Pork-Bone Dipping-Broth Udon as limited-time menu items at its restaurants nationwide, excluding some locations. Sales will begin on 10 September 2026 and are scheduled to continue until late October, although the end date has not been determined. The shrimp dipping broth is a rich broth containing shrimp extract, topped with shrimp, steamed chicken and white green onion. The seafood and pork-bone version combines the umami of seafood with the richness of pork bone.
Both dipping broths have been prepared to pair well with the smooth texture of Sanuki udon and to remain easy to eat through to the end.
All dipping-broth dishes come with a separate broth for diluting the dipping sauce, an original pouring broth made by blending first stock based on dried sardines and kombu with special kaeshi sauce. Spicy fish powder is available separately for customers who want to add heat and customise their dish.
