Kappa Sushi is running a limited-time “Campaign Tomica” collaboration with Tomica. Customers spending ¥3,500 or more will receive 1 Tarey toy, displayed in a case filled with ice, featuring a crab with moving legs and claws.
Kappa Sushi, the sushi chain, has teamed up with Takara Tomy’s Tomica mini cars to launch the limited-time “Kappa Sushi Campaign Tomica: Playable Car” giveaway campaign from 5 November. The purchase condition is that customers receive 1 Tarey toy for every ¥3,500 spent, including tax.
The giveaway mini car, “Tarey (crab with moving legs and claws),” can be played with inside a polystyrene case filled with ice. When its wheels are moved, the crab’s legs and claws move up and down alternately. The toy is intended to create an enjoyable experience at Kappa Sushi restaurants.
The giveaway reflects a commitment to food education and a desire to encourage interest in the background of food while providing children with an enjoyable experience that stays with them. It is intended to provide an opportunity to learn how sushi reaches the restaurant.
The terms state that the campaign will end once supplies of Tarey run out, and that it will be held for a limited time.
