Kaluza has entered into an outsourcing agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation to support the rollout of its energy intelligence platform for Japanese electricity and gas retailers. The aim is to strengthen its business expansion in the Japanese market.
The partnership deepens the companies' collaboration through Kaluza Japan, established in 2024, with a view to expanding distributed energy resource control services in Japan. The collaboration has already produced results through demonstration projects, including a V2X project for households.
The companies' respective roles are for Kaluza to build an expansion model for the Japanese market based on its operational track record and expertise developed in Europe and North America, and for Mitsubishi Corporation to support market entry by drawing on its knowledge of and network in Japan's energy market. The partnership also demonstrates a long-term commitment to the Japanese market.
Kaluza GK, Kaluza's Japanese entity, will be established, and Noel Pritchard will be appointed Japan Country Manager. Kaluza plans to strengthen the rollout of its energy intelligence platform, including CIS and CRM.
