A free seminar will be held on 30 September 2026 to discuss new competitive priorities in the drone market, focusing on Blue UAS and Green UAS and covering factors such as reliability in addition to aircraft performance.
ドローン・ジャパン株式会社 and 株式会社アイ・ロボティクス will hold a free seminar on 30 September on the themes of Blue UAS and Green UAS as part of the establishment of Blue UAS Laboratory Kawachi (BULK). The seminar will take place at the drone testing facility “Drone Field KAWACHI” and will outline points Japanese companies should consider when looking toward overseas markets.
The seminar will explain how, although aircraft performance has so far accounted for most of the competitive focus, the growing use of drones in the public and infrastructure sectors is increasing the importance of new factors, including security, data management, supply-chain transparency, and the reliability of components and software. It will also outline the background to and differences between Blue UAS and Green UAS, the differences from Japan’s type certification system, and the challenges Japanese companies will face going forward.
The programme will cover changes in the industrial structure, the significance of Blue UAS and Green UAS, the issues Japanese companies should address, and BULK’s role. The speakers will be Sunohara Hisanori (春原久徳) and Saito Kazuki (齋藤和紀). Both in-person and online participation are free, and advance registration is required.
Blue UAS Laboratory Kawachi (BULK) was established at the “Drone Field KAWACHI” drone testing facility in Kawachi, Ibaraki Prefecture. The initiative provides information on overseas regulations and market trends and supports studies and testing aimed at overseas markets. The first seminar is being held as part of this initiative.
