Osaka Metro and Tokyo Metro have announced that they will jointly plan and sell collaborative merchandise for the first time. The station signs have been adapted into palm-sized magnet sets that incorporate the different pronunciations of station names with the same written forms.
Sets will be available for Osaka’s Nihombashi Station and Tokyo’s Nihombashi Station, as well as the Osaka and Tokyo Kyobashi stations. Each set will cost ¥1,320 including tax.
Clear files featuring route maps will also be available separately and will be sold through the online shops.
Sales will begin at 10 a.m. on the 5th and will be available through both companies’ online shops. An Osaka Metro representative said they hoped customers would pick up and enjoy merchandise unique to the companies’ first collaboration.
