ジー・サーチ has signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S.-based WhoisXML API to promote digital KYC and strengthen cyber defenses in Japan. The companies aim to enhance online trust by leveraging domain histories, DNS data and other information.
ジー・サーチ has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with U.S.-based WhoisXML API covering sales expansion and collaboration in Japan. In a release dated 18 September 2026, the company said it aims to promote digital KYC in the Japanese market and develop the infrastructure for active cyber defense by combining global digital activity data with reliable corporate information.
The partnership is driven in part by the sharp increase in demand for online identity verification accompanying the spread of generative AI. The companies seek to supplement cases that are difficult to assess using conventional corporate information and credit investigations alone by combining internet infrastructure data with corporate information.
The partnership will cover comprehensive current and historical WHOIS, DNS and IP address data, with a focus on visualizing acquisition and change histories in a manner similar to corporate registry information. This will support the advancement of digital KYC and the development of a foundation for active cyber defense aimed at detecting risks in advance.
As a strength of its domestic service platform, ジー・サーチ will provide one-stop services in Japanese and leverage more than 50 billion records spanning 15 years. Key use cases include legal and compliance, security and information systems, and police and forensics. The company said it will announce the specific service launch schedule and further details once they have been finalized.
