日本イトミック launched an under-counter model of its commercial electric water-heating equipment on 1 September. Installing the unit beneath the counter frees up workspace and is intended to enhance the design of ryokan inns and hotels. A live demonstration at SC AJ2026 is also scheduled.
日本イトミック has announced an under-counter model as a new addition to its commercial electric water-heating equipment lineup. By installing the water heater beneath the counter, the design leaves only the faucet on the countertop, with the aim of improving the appearance of the space while preserving workspace.
The model expands the existing EHWD-14 series into an under-counter format while retaining its functions. The temperature can be adjusted in set increments, and functions that support stable operation, including preset-volume dispensing and step boiling to limit declines in water temperature, have also been retained.
Two faucets are offered as standard options: Steam Silver and Premium Black, which have different designs. The company has explained that the product is expected to be priced below overseas products, highlighting its cost appeal.
The company plans to stage a live demonstration at SC AJ2026, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in October, highlighting the product’s suitability for sophisticated spaces such as dining areas and bar counters at ryokan inns and hotels.
