Yamato International revised its consolidated ordinary income forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 downward, from the previously forecast profit to a loss. The company also expects the second half to swing to a loss, exceeding the loss recorded in the previous fiscal year.
Yamato International announced after the market close on 2 October that it had revised its consolidated ordinary income forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 downward, from the previously forecast profit of ¥270 million to a loss of ¥100 million. The previous fiscal year ended with a loss of ¥62 million. The company disclosed the revision on the same day.
The company also revised its second-half earnings forecast, from the previously forecast profit of ¥238 million to a loss of ¥132 million. The same period a year earlier ended with a loss of ¥165 million.
For the current fiscal year’s full-year earnings forecast, the revised outlook provides new figures for each sales and profit metric, while the dividend forecast remains unchanged. The materials cite factors including heightened consumer awareness of protecting household finances amid the arrival of an inflationary society.
The revision was made because the earnings announcement date for the fiscal year ending August 2026 is 2026-10-02, which is also the base date for the new earnings forecast.
