AIT Corporation resolved to change the responsibilities of its officers effective on the 18th. As a result, Executive Managing Director Majo Shinichi (馬上 真一), who has served as head of the Sales Division, will newly assume responsibility for the Osaka Customs Clearance Department and Tokyo Customs Clearance Department. A structure overseeing the Osaka Customs Clearance Department, Tokyo Customs Clearance Department and Maritime Operations Department will be established.
In addition, Director Kawamine Hiroshi (川峯 寛), who concurrently served as head of the Tokyo Customs Clearance Department, will no longer be responsible for that role and will retain his position as director. Director Joko Kei (上甲 慶), who was responsible for the Osaka Sales Department, will newly assume responsibility for the Maritime Operations Department, resulting in a structure overseeing both that department and the Osaka Sales Department.
The personnel changes appear to be intended to consolidate the customs clearance functions and strengthen cross-departmental oversight. The specific scope of the newly assigned responsibilities will be reorganised mainly around the customs clearance functions and Maritime Operations Department, and the internal allocation of duties may be substantially reviewed.
