South Korea's SK Telecom unveiled an “AI Chief of Staff” that uses AI to analyze battlefield data, demonstrating a system that centrally integrates information from drones, surveillance equipment and unit reports and provides it to commanders. The system uses a data platform, ontology and digital twin to link the data.
The AI Chief of Staff was the centerpiece of the exhibition. It uses AI to compare and analyze information from multiple sources, organize the current situation and support operational decision-making. Rather than reviewing individual pieces of information, commanders can assess the situation through an integrated display prepared by AI.
The amount of information on future battlefields is expected to increase as the number of drones, robots and sensors grows. The AI Chief of Staff focuses on rapidly analyzing distributed information to support decision-making.
For communications security, the company introduced technologies that combine low-Earth-orbit satellite-based communications, quantum cryptography and stealth Wi-Fi to ensure stability and security.
