The first part follows how a mother of 6 children built ¥70 million in assets from scratch. It focuses on how she balanced family and work, centered on saving, managing education expenses and obtaining a financial planning qualification.
Emi Hashimoto (橋本絵美) grew up with an awareness of saving and frugality from her student years, and obtained a financial planning skills certification around 2010. After marrying, she became a full-time homemaker and began developing a life plan aimed at having a large family.
Around 2013, she moved to Tokyo following her husband's transfer and attended a training course at an independent financial planning firm. She began working on individual consultations and column writing, laying the foundation for an income base.
Around 2018, her eldest son expressed a desire to attend a private middle school. To limit the burden on the household budget, she accepted a proposal to use a scholarship program while allowing him to attend a cram school, and created a new life plan accommodating private-school education.
Based on the new life plan, she expanded the scale of her business with the aim of increasing and stabilizing income. As a result, she steadily built assets and has now accumulated approximately ¥70 million.
