The 6-inch Bigme B6 Pro tablet, featuring color E Ink and Android 14, has launched. Its features include a refresh rate equivalent to 75 Hz and support for video playback.
Bigme has announced and launched the Bigme B6 Pro, a new e-reader device featuring color E Ink. It is available for purchase through the official website, including for customers in Japan. The price is ¥53,500, but it is available for ¥47,000 during the launch sale.
The device features a 6-inch color E Ink display and runs an Android 14-based operating system. Google Play is available from the outset, allowing users to install Android apps, which is presented as one of its key advantages.
Its proprietary technology delivers an effective refresh rate equivalent to 75 Hz, enabling not only page scrolling but also video playback. The color layer is positioned over the monochrome layer, and although the color resolution is approximately half that of the monochrome layer, it is described as sufficient for viewing comics and photographs.
Specifications include a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 CPU, 8 GB of memory, 256 GB of storage, and 4G LTE connectivity. The device has a 2,120 mAh battery, and two models are available, one with a case and one with a stylus. Both the regular price and the launch-sale price are provided.
