Credit Saison and Suruga Bank announced plans to launch the digital banking service "Saison Bank (provisional name)" in early 2027. Saison Bank will provide BaaS-based services through the Saison Branch and link the Saison Card app, Saison Portal, with a deposit balance inquiry function. It aims to reach 100,000 accounts and ¥100 billion in deposits within 3 years of launch.
The service is expected to offer preferential ordinary deposit interest rates based on usage through digital customer touchpoints linked to Saison's payment functions and smartphone app. The Saison Branch will use Suruga Bank's internet branch capabilities.
The companies entered into a capital and business alliance in May 2023, and Saison is now Suruga's largest shareholder. Suruga President Kato Hiroaki (加藤廣亮) also serves as a director of Saison, while Saison Executive Vice President Takahashi Naoki (高橋直樹) also serves as a director of Suruga.
The companies plan to continue jointly developing their residential mortgage and real estate finance businesses, with collaboration loans and residential mortgage-related initiatives expected to expand further.
