A special supplement has been released explaining how Japanese companies can use India’s four major IT services providers and implement AI-driven security. It provides specific guidance on each company’s strengths, procurement tips and the use of global centers of excellence.
The long-promised “Guidebook to Using India’s Four Major IT Services Providers” has been released as a special supplement accompanying the main publication. Focusing on TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCLTech, it details practical steps for Japanese companies to work with each provider. The article assumes that Indian major IT services providers will be engaged directly under prime contracts and sets out specific procurement guidelines.
Supplement column 1 identifies the basic rules for Japanese companies working with India’s major IT services providers: using Japanese-language points of contact, avoiding handing over all responsibility, placing orders based on KPIs and global standards, entering into direct contracts with global AI security centers of excellence, and commissioning labor-intensive operations and AI automation as a package. It sets out a path for drawing out the full potential of local technical capabilities.
Supplement columns 2 through 5 detail the strengths and suitable implementation cases for TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCLTech. TCS is characterized by its deep adaptation to the Japanese market and Japanese-language support; Infosys by its AI-first approach and Topaz/Cobalt; Wipro by its security strategy and IAM; and HCLTech by its R&D-oriented technical capabilities and AI Force. Collaboration tailored to each company’s strengths is envisioned.
The guide concludes with an executive summary of how to choose among the four companies and organizes their suitability as leading candidates when Japanese companies seek to rapidly establish AI security based on global standards. Against the backdrop of a warning from NICT, the article provides practical guidance on how to advance collaboration with India’s major IT services providers.
