Don Don An, part of the サガミホールディングス group, has launched its Autumn Mushroom Fair. The fair features noodle dishes made with 4 types of mushrooms, including black maitake. The 2 participating dishes are soba, available hot or cold, and ankake udon.
サガミレストランツ株式会社 is holding its Autumn Mushroom Fair at どんどん庵, a regional self-service udon chain, from 20 October 2026. The autumn-limited menu uses 4 types of mushrooms—black maitake, enoki, buna-shimeji and Bunapi white beech mushrooms—allowing customers to enjoy their individual flavors and textures together.
The first participating dish is Mushroom Soba, which can be ordered hot or cold. The broth combines the aroma of the mushrooms and the umami of the dashi with ginger as a secret ingredient, highlighting the distinctive flavor and texture of all 4 mushrooms. Prices are ¥830 regular and ¥980 large.
The other participating dish is Mushroom Ankake Udon, in which the warm ankake sauce and ginger flavor complement the mushrooms. The thick sauce coats the chewy udon well. Prices are ¥790 regular and ¥940 large.
The fair is planned for 26 stores, mainly in the Tokai region, and will be offered in the self-service format at affordable prices.
