Fukui Shimbunsha and Fukui Bank have partnered with Fukui Prefecture to establish Public-Private Co-Creation Front Fukui, with the aim of promoting public-private co-creation. A kickoff event is also scheduled to be held in Fukui City on 4 November 2026.
Fukui Shimbunsha and Fukui Bank established the joint community Public-Private Co-Creation Front Fukui on 30 September 2026, in partnership with Fukui Prefecture, with the aim of addressing regional challenges and creating new industrial value. Building on their track record of cooperation in areas including digital payments, the initiative will establish a new platform to support the creation and implementation of public-private co-creation projects. It plans to promote solutions to regional challenges and the creation of socially oriented businesses in cooperation with Fukui Prefecture's cross-departmental public-private co-creation team.
According to an announcement dated the same day, Front Fukui's mission is to use the private sector's free-thinking approach and advanced technologies, as well as networks with companies in metropolitan areas and startups, to continuously launch public-private co-creation projects while both addressing regional challenges and putting them into practice in society. It will create co-creation projects through seminars and workshops, provide hands-on support, and strengthen cooperation with a diverse range of partners.
The initiative's main activities will include encouraging companies to participate through events in Fukui Prefecture and the Tokyo metropolitan area, and promoting the formation and implementation of co-creation projects. The kickoff event is scheduled for 4 November 2026 at Hapirin Hall on the 3rd floor of Hapirin, with the aim of creating opportunities for joint businesses through dialogue. The program is scheduled to comprise a Part 1 talk session and a Part 2 introduction to co-creation case studies.
