Hyogo Prefecture and Duskin have signed an agreement to support the improvement of hygiene conditions at evacuation shelters during disasters. The agreement aims to accelerate disaster response by providing rental equipment and supplies and hygiene services.
Duskin announced that it had signed an "Agreement on Improving Hygiene Conditions at Evacuation Shelters and Other Facilities During Disasters and Other Events" with Hyogo Prefecture. The agreement provides for support to improve hygiene conditions at evacuation shelters and other facilities operated by municipalities in Hyogo Prefecture during disasters, including the provision of rental equipment and supplies and hygiene services held by the company.
Under the agreement, Duskin will provide rental equipment and supplies, transport, install, position and remove the equipment and supplies, and provide hygiene services such as cleaning and disinfecting evacuation shelters. Support will be provided in response to requests from Hyogo Prefecture.
Since July 2022, Duskin has offered its Disaster Preparedness Support Service through its Rent-All business and has actively promoted the signing of agreements with municipalities. The number of agreements signed to date has reached 115 municipalities.
The agreement establishes in advance the principles for allocating costs, including rental fees for equipment and supplies, transportation and installation costs, and fees for providing hygiene services, with the aim of facilitating smooth and rapid support when a disaster occurs.
