At GREEN×EXPO 2027, Sumitomo Forestry is developing the concept of “Hyaku no Mori” (100 Forests), in which an internal team expresses each employee's perspective on forests based on the company's long-term vision and Wood Cycle. The process of discussing how to connect understanding among external audiences and employees was also outlined.
After the decision to participate in the exhibition, a project team was established within the company and began developing a concept based on the long-term vision and Wood Cycle.
The discussion involved vigorous exchanges of views on what to communicate and how, revealing that employees have different perspectives on trees and forests. The discussion progressed toward the conclusion that 100 people would have 100 different perspectives.
The concept of expressing these diverse perspectives as perspectives on forests was ultimately adopted as a policy on the grounds that it would offer value to both external audiences and employees.
