A vehicle collided with a train between Chogo and Fujisawa stations on the Odakyu Enoshima Line, and service has been suspended. The vehicle reportedly crossed the level crossing and traveled about 200 meters, making a restart before the last train unlikely and potentially affecting the first train.
Odakyu Enoshima Line service has been suspended between Chogo and Fujisawa stations since shortly after 10 p.m. on the 27th, after a vehicle collided with a down train at a level crossing in Fujisawa.
According to the situation at the site, the vehicle entered a level crossing near Mutsuai-Nichidaimae Station and traveled about 200 meters toward Fujisawa on the down-line tracks, where it was struck by a local train traveling ahead of it. No injuries or derailment have been confirmed, but the vehicle is lodged beneath the train. Odakyu Electric Railway said it expects the restoration of service to take considerable time.
Service is not expected to resume before the last train on the 27th and may not resume in time for the first train on the 28th. Passengers are advised to monitor the latest service information.
