Secure SAMBA, a domestic online storage service for businesses, has launched new features that allow users to add custom text to emails sent with external sharing links and require link settings.
Secure SAMBA, a domestic online storage service for businesses, has released new features that allow users to freely enter the subject and body of emails sent with external sharing links, and allow administrators to require settings when links are issued. This strengthens the wording used when sharing files with business partners and other external parties, as well as compliance with internal policies.
The features were developed in response to requests concerning the use of standard email text, which may not adequately convey file contents, the risk of omitted settings, and the need to enforce internal rules.
Specifically, users can freely enter email subjects of up to 50 characters and message bodies of up to 500 characters when sending links, and register up to 10 templates for text used internally. A preview is available before sending to help reduce input errors.
The other feature allows the company to set the “required fields” and “default values” for external sharing links on a company-wide basis. Each of the four items, expiration date, password, download prohibition (preview only), and download count, can be made mandatory individually, helping prevent omitted settings. The feature is available under the Business and Enterprise plans and the special Chatwork plan, at no additional charge.
Secure SAMBA has stated that it will continue improving its features based on customer feedback and support secure, smooth file sharing both inside and outside organizations.
