An announcement was made regarding the start of reservations and the release date for the “Eagle Talon × Shimane Self-Deprecating Calendar 2027,” as well as the opening of applications for the 20th-anniversary special category. The launch of the “Shimane Self-Deprecating History Museum” was also announced at the same time.
For the 2027 calendar, self-deprecating copy will be solicited under a special 20th-anniversary category, with entries invited from people who live in or are from Shimane, as well as those who have experience with or are fans of Shimane. The entrant's name may be included if requested.
The calendar is scheduled for release in early December 2026, and reservations have opened. Its title is “Eagle Talon × Shimane Self-Deprecating Calendar 2027.” Specifications are a cover plus 13 pages, single-sided printing and a size of 148×220mm. The price is ¥1,760 (¥1,600 before tax plus 10% consumption tax).
The “Shimane Self-Deprecating History Museum” has launched a website covering self-deprecating copy from 2011 onward. Visitors can look back at more than 200 self-deprecating jokes and the history of the Eagle Talon group, from the first edition in 2011 to the present.
The project is being developed by DLE as part of its efforts to communicate Shimane Prefecture's appeal, with the calendar sold through websites, bookstores, tourist shops and roadside stations in Shimane Prefecture.
The calendar's developer, DLE, is introducing its history of promoting Shimane's appeal through self-deprecating jokes while continuing to develop “Secret Society Eagle Talon,” which marks its 20th anniversary.
