日本交通 was hit by a cyberattack, and filenames and the volume of data allegedly leaked have been published on the dark web. The leaked data may include sensitive information, such as disciplinary records for drunk driving and hit-and-run incidents.
In a cyberattack targeting 日本交通, the attackers reportedly announced that the volume of data allegedly stolen from 日本交通 was 2.9 terabytes and have continued threatening to release it as if holding hostages. An emerging group called AiLock claims to have been involved.
Some filenames from the leaked data have been published on the dark web. Given the scale of the data, it has been suggested that database backups and other materials may also have been taken. Experts also suspect that backup data may have been leaked.
The leaked list may include records of drivers’ past accidents and internal disciplinary actions. It is also said to contain disciplinary information relating to driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, hit-and-run incidents and violations of the duty to provide assistance. The leak of internal records unrelated to personal information has also been reported.
