Nippon GLP has completed the new Marq Osaka 4 logistics facility in Higashisumiyoshi Ward, Osaka. The facility has a total floor area of 28,612.12 m² and extends four floors above ground. It will serve as a dedicated facility for Arata.
The facility has a floor load capacity of 1.5 t/m², a clear ceiling height of 5.5 m and 2 freight elevators. Its design enables the full installation of automated equipment, including a four-story atrium-style automated racking warehouse area.
Located between inland Osaka and the waterfront, the facility is close to the Hanshin Expressway and major roads and is expected to serve as a hub for last-mile and wide-area distribution. It also offers convenient access for employees, with residential areas extending throughout the surrounding area.
Arata plans to use the facility, like its existing sites including Marq Yachiyo 4, as the largest distribution hub in the Kansai region, promoting labor-saving and reduced manual work through the introduction of robots and material-handling equipment. Nippon GLP will continue to advance development as part of community building that emphasizes coexistence with the local community.
