Tsurumi Manufacturing raised its consolidated first-half ordinary profit forecast from ¥3.65 billion to ¥6.0 billion, resulting in a forecast 3.0% increase in profit. It also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast to ¥10.5 billion, citing improved profit margins and foreign-exchange trends.
During the afternoon session on 6 August, Tsurumi Manufacturing announced a revision to its first-half forecasts. It substantially raised its forecast for consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second-quarter period (April-September) from the previous forecast of ¥3.65 billion to ¥6.0 billion, resulting in a forecast 3.0% increase year on year.
Accordingly, it also raised its full-year consolidated ordinary profit forecast from the previous forecast of ¥8.2 billion to ¥10.5 billion. Ordinary profit was ¥13.6 billion in the previous fiscal year. Following the upward revision, the forecast decline in full-year profit is expected to narrow from 39.7% to 22.8%.
The company cited a substantial increase in sales to the equipment market during the first half, centered on pumps equipped with a smash mechanism that achieves both high efficiency and the ability to pass foreign matter. It also said overseas sales remained solid, particularly in North America and Asia.
The revision is based on information available as of the date of this announcement, and the actual figures may change depending on future developments.
