Tokyo Tatemono has announced an investment in Charter Hall Industrial Partnership 5, an Australian logistics property fund. The portfolio comprises 6 properties in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with approximately 335,000 square metres of total leasable floor area.
Tokyo Tatemono announced on 17 September 2026 that it would invest in a logistics property fund established by Charter Hall Group, a major Australian real estate company. This marks Tokyo Tatemono’s first participation in the logistics business in Australia.
The fund’s investment targets are 6 logistics properties located across the 3 major metropolitan areas of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, with total leasable floor area of approximately 335,000 square metres. Of these properties, 5 have been completed and have achieved 100% occupancy.
Key tenants include global companies such as Coles, ALDI and Coca-Cola. The remaining property is a new development in Melbourne, with construction scheduled to begin in 2026 and full completion scheduled for 2030.
Tokyo Tatemono projects overseas business investment of ¥110 billion under its medium-term management plan and intends to strengthen its overseas portfolio. Through its collaboration with Charter Hall, the company aims to build local expertise and establish logistics properties as an earnings base.
