JAL Group announced its consolidated results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, reporting revenue of ¥1.0989 trillion, up 11.7% year on year. Record revenue since relisting was achieved both for the cumulative second-quarter period and on a standalone basis. EBIT was ¥70.1 billion, down 36.0% year on year, reflecting higher fuel prices and the weaker yen.
First-half results recovered to a level above plan on a cumulative basis, offsetting the shortfall in EBIT against the plan. Strong profitability, including demand from international passengers, contributed, while a diversified earnings base from non-airline businesses also provided support.
The full-year earnings forecast was left unchanged at EBIT of ¥180 billion and net profit of ¥110 billion. The policy of paying an annual dividend of ¥96 per share was maintained, and an interim dividend of ¥48 was decided.
