MISUMI Group Inc. built a system that uses AI to generate and manage product information for e-commerce listings, beginning operations in October 2026 with 9 AI agents generating candidates and evaluating their validity. The system is built on Fujitsu’s data integration platform.
MISUMI Group Inc. built a system covering tens of thousands of products listed on its e-commerce site, executing the entire process from collecting and preprocessing product data through AI-based data generation and evaluation to final human review.
The system is built on Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS and uses 9 AI agents to generate series names, suggest category candidates, extract specification information, check for prohibited characters and evaluate the validity of candidates. By having the agents evaluate one another and incorporating a final approval process, the system limits variations in notation and inconsistencies in classification.
MISUMI plans to expand the scope of the data model and AI processing platform, initially applying them to operations that include ingesting supplier data and managing the product master, with the aim of linking peripheral systems and expanding into other operations. In the future, it will consider automating the entire process, including final review by personnel.
The system entered production operation in October 2026, and Fujitsu announced it on the same day. Figure 1 shows an overview of the initiative.
