JR West announced that it will offer a wide range of Railway Day merchandise through its official online shop, including commemorative goods for the retirement of the 500 series, Doctor Yellow-related products and 283 series Ocean Arrow 30th-anniversary goods. New items, including Licca dresses going on sale on 14 October, will join products launching on 1 October.
JR West announced that it will sell Railway Day merchandise through its official online shops, “WESTER Mall” and “DISCOVER WEST mall,” on 14 October 2026. The lineup includes commemorative merchandise for the retirement of the 500 series Shinkansen, 923 series Doctor Yellow products and 283 series Ocean Arrow 30th-anniversary goods, along with multiple collaboration products.
Eleven 500 series commemorative products will go on sale from 1 October, while 13 upcycled products made by reusing the train’s seat fabric will be launched on 14 October. Two Licca dress-up doll products inspired by the 500 series and Doctor Yellow are also scheduled to launch on the same day.
The lineup also includes a two-car set of TOMIX N-gauge freight cars featuring the design of the official retirement poster, two Choro-Q products with the official retirement logo and display stands, and six Ocean Arrow 283 series 30th-anniversary products scheduled to go on sale from 1 October. A figure inspired by the ONE PIECE Shinkansen “Setouchi Blue” will also debut on the same day.
The lineup further includes five collaboration products between ICOCA character Ico-chan the platypus and denim brand EDWIN, as well as three “Hida” products developed jointly by JR Central and JR West. Sales start dates and participating stores vary by product, and some items will be available in limited quantities.
