SOLIZE PARTNERS and NTTデータザムテクノロジーズ have formed a strategic partnership to create a mass-production market for additive manufacturing (AM, or 3D-printing-based additive fabrication). Drawing on the strengths of both companies, they will promote a joint business model to build a Japan-originated AM mass-production platform.
SOLIZE PARTNERS and NTTデータザムテクノロジーズ have signed a memorandum of understanding on collaboration in the AM business. Through collaboration in the mass-production fields of polymer and metal AM, the companies aim to build a Japan-originated AM mass-production platform and create an AM market.
As key areas of collaboration, the companies will establish a framework that provides integrated support from design and analysis through prototyping and mass production, offering solutions tailored to customer needs, including the introduction of AM equipment and proposals for materials and applications.
Going forward, the companies will discuss specific business models, target customers, and systems for outsourced fabrication and mass production, among other matters, and work to generate AM mass-production projects and expand the market.
Through this collaboration, the companies aim to move Japan's AM market from the "testing" stage to the "mass-production" stage, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of domestic industry.
