Wellness Communications Corporation and BellSystem24 Holdings jointly acquired more than half of T-PEC's shares and will jointly promote services addressing medical and health-related issues, centered on the Growbase wellbeing-management support platform.
Wellness Communications Corporation and BellSystem24 Holdings will jointly acquire more than half of the shares in T-PEC Co., Ltd., which operates one of Japan's largest medical call centers. Following the acquisition, the companies will jointly promote services addressing medical and health-related issues for companies, health insurers and local governments, including EAP and specialist referrals based on wellness data. The two companies formed a capital and business alliance in 2023, and completion of the transfer is conditional on the resolution approving the transfer becoming effective.
Against a backdrop of declining birth rates and an aging population and increasingly diverse working styles, the importance of health management is rising, as are expectations for external services that help navigate health-related issues. The companies aim to enhance their services by using T-PEC's network of specialists and medical-data platform, linking solutions built on Growbase and using AI and digital technologies.
Going forward, the three companies plan to combine their strengths to expand the scope of services in the health and medical fields, develop health-management services for individuals and create new businesses through data utilization. Solution integration on Growbase and the integration of EAP, specialist referrals and consultation services are expected to be the first stage of collaboration.
From a commercial perspective, Wellness Communications Corporation aims to expand its health-management platform centered on Growbase, while BellSystem24 aims to enhance T-PEC's business by applying its BPO operating capabilities and use of digital and AI technologies. The companies aim to create new services in the medical and healthcare fields, prompted by their capital alliance.
