Infineon has announced the acquisition of Indian power systems company C2i Semiconductors. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, and financial terms have not been disclosed.
German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies has announced the acquisition of C2i Semiconductors, a Bengaluru-based developer of power delivery architectures. The acquisition will expand Infineon’s power semiconductor portfolio and strengthen its technology for digital power management for AI data centers and system-level power architectures for vertical power delivery.
The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026. Financial terms, including the acquisition price, have not been disclosed. Infineon said it plans to expand its engineering operations in the Indian market through the acquisition.
C2i Semiconductors takes its name from the initials of “Control,” “Conversion” and “Intelligence.” The company provides technology designed to enable power delivery systems to respond to rapid fluctuations in demand from AI processors. It is developing Grid-to-GPU plug-and-play power delivery systems and raised $15 million in a Series A round in February 2026.
Infineon’s head of engineering said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s leadership in power solutions for AI data centers and establish a new center of excellence for digital power technology in India. C2i’s founder and CEO said that joining Infineon would give the company access to global semiconductor technology and manufacturing capabilities, as well as a global customer base.
Infineon has also increased its investment in power infrastructure in recent years. In July 2026, it announced a partnership with LS Electric to advance the development of direct-current power infrastructure for AI data centers.
