The president of Indonesia’s state-owned power utility PLN (Persero) changed from Darmawan Prasodjo to Suroso Indanarl. The change was formally decided at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and approved following an online RUPSLB.
On the night of 14 October, PLN (Persero)’s president changed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, and it became clear that Suroso Indanarl would become the new president. Chairman Andi Arief confirmed the change.
The meeting was held online at 18:30, with members of the board of directors, board of commissioners and the state-owned enterprise regulatory authority in attendance. Andi said that Deputy Minister Teddy Barata also attended the meeting.
Suroso had previously served as director of PLN’s project management and new and renewable energy divisions, and will temporarily hold that position concurrently until a successor is appointed. With Darmawan Prasodjo leaving the post, leadership of PLN’s reform efforts will shift to Suroso.
That afternoon, Suroso visited the presidential palace complex with Bahlil Lahadalia, Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.
