Weekly Bunshun's reporting revealed that Nidec's Nagamori Shigenobu (永守重信) had established a new company for the purpose of corporate revitalization. It was established on 31 July this year, and its head office is in the same building as エスエヌ興産.
On 30 September, major motor manufacturer Nidec announced that losses associated with improper accounting had exceeded ¥600 billion, and President Kishida (岸田) was to resign. It subsequently emerged that Nagamori Shigenobu (永守重信) had secretly established a new company for the purpose of “corporate revitalization.”
The newly established company is ミノレアス株式会社. It was established on 31 July this year, and its head office is in the same building as エスエヌ興産, the Nagamori family's asset-management company. Its corporate registry states that its business includes the management of subsidiaries and affiliates, corporate mergers, business succession and corporate revitalization.
The company, which advocates rebuilding the family corporate group, is said to have the characteristics of a turnaround fund, aiming to improve profitability through the acquisition and revitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kyoto and then sell them. There is also information that the group name changed from エスエヌグループ to ミノレアスグループ.
Weekly Bunshun's digital edition has also reported on the circumstances surrounding the establishment of ミノレアス and the details of its job advertisements, including a direct interview with a former Nidec executive who became president of ミノレアス.
